WHO IS ACUTE BYTE?

This page is aimed at giving you an idea of who acute byte is.

Acute Byte is the trade name under which i offer my web design services. My name is Lukas Delport and I am an ex pat South African living and working in London since 2002 on and off.

Experience

My background in IT began when i did an entry level programming course at Van Zyl and Pritchard IT college in Johannesburg South Africa. Since then i have gone on to work for a variety of companies in the UK and South Africa writing bespoke software for industries including banking , fast food , automotive , wholesale , retail , restaurant , local government and insurance.

During this time i was exposed to many technologies including Cobol, ProIV, SQL, Oracle, ASP, MYSQL, and PHP. My first attempt at web design came in 2005 when i wrote a custom wholesale site for a friends business. Going on from the success of this site i was recommended to various other people who i offered my services to. I now have an active client database for which i constantly do maintenance and upgrade work as well as actively seeking out new projects.
